Windbreakers
A windbreaker is the highest-volume, lowest-barrier piece in an outdoor range — no membrane, no taped seams, minimal labour, and it carries a print better than almost anything else. We build them from 20D to 50D shell fabric with PFAS-free C0 DWR, in half-zip, full-zip and anorak shapes, with sublimation, placement print and colour blocking. From 400 pcs per colour.
Windbreaker styles we produce
The shapes that carry volume in outdoor, running and lifestyle ranges.
Full-zip windbreaker
The standard shape, with or without hood, elasticated or drawcord hem.
Half-zip anorak
Pullover with kangaroo pocket. Strong in running and lifestyle ranges.
Packable windbreaker
Packs into its own pocket or a separate sack.
Colour-blocked windbreaker
Panel construction in two or more colours; the classic team and lifestyle look.
Printed windbreaker
Full sublimation print or placement graphics.
Lightweight running shell
Wind-resistant with high air permeability for running output.
Windproof without a membrane
The technical decision that defines this garment.
A windbreaker blocks wind with a tightly woven face and a DWR finish, not with a laminated membrane. That makes it lighter, more breathable, cheaper and easier to print than a waterproof shell — and it means the garment will wet out in sustained rain. That trade is correct for its use case: high-output activity in dry or showery conditions, where a membrane would trap sweat.
Air permeability is the spec to watch
Most buyers quote a waterproof rating that does not apply here. The useful number is air permeability — how much air passes through the cloth. Too high and the garment does not block wind; too low and it clams up. We work to a target air permeability rather than a hydrostatic head on this product.
- No membrane, no taped seams — lower cost and lower weight
- Highly breathable for running, cycling and hiking output
- Takes sublimation and placement print better than coated fabrics
- PFAS-free C0 DWR for shower resistance

Questions buyers ask
What is the MOQ for custom windbreakers?
400 pcs per colour with sizes mixed within that colour. Sharing one fabric platform across styles can reduce the effective minimum.
Is a windbreaker waterproof?
No — it is wind-resistant and shower-resistant. Without a membrane and taped seams it will wet out in sustained rain. That is the correct trade for high-output activity in dry or showery conditions.
What spec should I quote instead of a waterproof rating?
Air permeability. Too high and the garment does not block wind; too low and it traps sweat. We work to a target air permeability on this product.
Can you do full sublimation prints?
Yes. Full sublimation, placement print and panel colour blocking, with a strike-off or digital proof before bulk.
Do you offer recycled fabric?
Yes. GRS-certified recycled polyester in most windbreaker weights, with transaction certificates against your order.
Can a windbreaker be part of a wider programme?
Yes. Most brands run the windbreaker on the same colour standard and trim package as their shells, so the range reads as one family.
