A women's ski jacket built on a graded-down men's block fits badly and returns badly. We pattern women's ski jackets from a women's block — different shoulder slope, different sleeve rotation, different hip and hem relationship — then run them on the same waterproof platforms as our men's styles. Same 400 pcs per colour minimum, same 7-10 day sampling.

Shaped waist, articulated sleeve, synthetic or down fill. The core resort style.
Long-line women's ski parka
Extended hem with side vent zips, sells strongly in Nordic and family resort markets.

3L or 2.5L uninsulated for layering, with a hem cut to clear the hip on a seated lift.
Women's softshell
Bonded stretch with fleece back; the quiet option for spring and resort staff.
Quilted women's ski jacket
Narrow baffle or decorative quilting; strong in fashion-led and resort-town ranges.

Shell plus zip-out liner, sized on the women's block for both layers.
Why the women's block matters
Shrinking a men's pattern by a size or two changes length proportionally but not shape. Four areas separate a real women's block from a scaled one.
Shoulder slope and width
A women's shoulder is narrower and slopes more. Drafting to that slope stops the jacket from standing away from the neck and collapsing across the chest, which is the most visible failure in scaled-down patterns.
Bust and waist shaping
Princess seams or a shaped side seam take up the difference between bust and waist without adding bulk. Straight side seams on a women's ski jacket produce a boxy silhouette that most buyers reject at first fit.
Sleeve rotation and cuff
Women's arms carry a different forward rotation, and cuffs need to sit over a glove without swallowing the hand. We adjust cuff circumference separately from sleeve length rather than scaling both together.
Hip and hem
Hem width and drop-tail length are set against the hip, not the chest. A hem that clears the hip on a standing fit model often binds when the wearer sits on a lift or in a resort chair.
Fabric, fill and finish
The same platform as our men's programme, so a men's and women's style can share a fabric booking and a colour way.

A real women's block. Shoulder slope, bust-waist shaping, sleeve rotation and hip-to-hem relationship are drafted separately, then graded for the size run.
What is the MOQ for women's custom ski jackets?

Yes, and it is the cheapest way to run a paired programme. One fabric booking, one colour standard, two blocks.

Can you match a fit we already have?
Send your best-fitting sample. We will measure it, reproduce the fit in our block, and send a fit sample for comparison before bulk.
