Men's Ski Jackets
Men's ski jackets are the volume core of most winter programmes — and the style where fit mistakes cost the most. We run men's ski jacket OEM and ODM from 400 pcs per colour, on 2L, 2.5L and 3L constructions from 10K/10K up to 20K/15K, with PFAS-free C0 DWR as standard. Whether you arrive with a full tech pack or a photograph of something that is selling, we can develop it.
Men's ski jacket programmes we run
Six construction families cover most of what brands ask for. Each one can be opened up as a full size run or reworked into your own block.
Insulated ski jacket
Synthetic fill 80-200 g/m² or down, taffeta or brushed tricot lining, helmet-compatible hood. The standard resort style.
Shell ski jacket
Uninsulated 3L or 2.5L for layering. Lightest option, sells well in Alpine and backcountry ranges.
Softshell ski jacket
Bonded stretch face with fleece back. Quiet, breathable, popular for spring skiing and resort staff programmes.
3-in-1 ski jacket
Waterproof shell plus zip-out insulated liner. One SKU, two seasons of sell-through.
Ski anorak
Half or quarter zip, kangaroo pocket, oversize block. Strong in snowboard-adjacent and street-influenced ranges.
Ski jacket with removable hood
Hood on a zip and snap system, so the same shell works for on-piste and for travel.

Getting the men's block right
Most ski jacket returns trace back to pattern, not fabric. Three areas decide whether a men's ski jacket works on the mountain and survives the returns department.
Shoulder and sleeve
A men's ski block needs room across the shoulder blade and a sleeve cut with the elbow already bent. If the pattern is drafted flat, the jacket pulls across the back the moment the wearer reaches for a pole plant, and the cuff rides up past the glove. We draft with a forward shoulder and a pre-rotated sleeve as standard, then confirm on a live fit model before grading.
Layering tolerance
A men's size L should accept a midlayer fleece or a light insulated vest underneath without compressing the insulation. That means roughly 8-10 cm of ease at the chest over the body measurement, not the 4-6 cm used in fashion outerwear. Getting this wrong is the single most common complaint in skiwear returns data.
Hem and powder skirt
The drop tail needs to cover the seat when the wearer is in a skiing stance, not standing upright. We set hem length from a seated and flexed fit check rather than a standing one, and test that the powder skirt seals against the body without restricting hip movement.
- Men's size runs from XS to 5XL, with tall blocks on request
- Grading rules supplied for review before bulk cutting
- Fit samples made in the actual production fabric, not a substitute
- Fit comments returned with measurements, not just opinion
Built for EU and US compliance
Skiwear sold into the EU and US carries chemical and labelling obligations that sit with the brand, not the factory. We produce the documentation your compliance team needs.
- OEKO-TEX Standard 100 on fabric and trims, with valid scope certificates
- GRS transaction certificates for recycled content claims
- PFAS-free declarations for C0 DWR finishes — increasingly required by EU member states
- Fibre composition labels and care labels to EU textile Regulation 1007/2011 format
- REACH SVHC statements from trim and fabric suppliers
- BSCI-audited partner factories for social compliance requirements
If you are selling into a retailer with its own restricted substances list, send it at quotation stage. Matching an RSL after production starts is expensive; matching it before fabric booking is not.
MOQ, sampling and lead times
The numbers below are what we actually run, not best-case marketing figures.
| MOQ | 400 pcs per colour, sizes mixed within the colour |
|---|---|
| Sampling | 7-10 days for a sample in stock fabric; 15-20 days if fabric must be sourced |
| Fit sample | Included before bulk; made in production fabric |
| Bulk lead time | 35-55 days after PP sample approval and fabric arrival |
| Fabric sourcing | 7-15 days for stock lots; longer for custom-dyed or printed |
| Testing | ISO 811 hydrostatic head on every waterproof run, records kept per batch |
| Quote turnaround | Within 24 hours of a complete brief |
A programme with one fabric platform across several styles can share a MOQ across the colour — worth asking about if you are building a first season and 400 per style is too much.
Questions buyers ask
What is the MOQ for men's custom ski jackets?
400 pcs per colour, with sizes mixed inside that colour. If you build several styles on the same fabric platform, we can often share the minimum across the platform instead of per style.
Can you develop a men's ski jacket from a photo or a competitor sample?
Yes. Send a reference sample or clear photographs with a target price. We will produce a tech pack, suggest fabric options at that price, and quote before any sampling fee.
Do you offer recycled shell fabrics?
Yes. GRS-certified recycled polyester is available in most weights we run, with transaction certificates issued against your order so the claim holds up at retail.
Is the DWR finish PFAS-free?
C0 PFAS-free DWR is our standard finish. If you need a specific chemistry for an EU market or a retailer RSL, tell us at quotation stage and we will match it.
Can you work with our own fabric supplier?
Yes. We regularly produce CMT and semi-CMT programmes where fabric is nominated or bought by the brand. We will still run incoming fabric inspection before cutting.
How do you verify waterproofing?
Every waterproof run is tested on a calibrated hydrostatic head tester to ISO 811, with written records per batch. Taped seams are checked separately — seam failure is far more common than fabric failure.
